Position 1: Finance Intern
Key Areas of Accountability:
- Cash collect, disburse and control petty cash fund
- Collect funds and make various payments as per the authorization and approval of Budget Holders and in accordance with Save the Children’s financial management policy;
- Maintain and handle petty cash and prepare cash reports and ensure timely replenishment; and prepare receipt/payment vouchers;
- Prepare payment vouchers (for cash and cheque payments) as per approved payment requests and/or authenticated invoices and receipts by budget holders and present vouchers for verification and approval by the responsible persons. Make cash/cheque payments only after obtaining approval/authorization from the management;
- Maintain the bank and cash records either electronically or manually
- Effect staff salary upon obtaining an approval and certification from payroll sheets;
- Check and pay all office bills for telephone, fax, water, electricity, tax withholdings and government taxes; Ensure timely settlement of bills;
- Assist the Finance officer in handling of financial transaction and documentations;
- Ensure loans and working advances are maintained and accounted for properly and follow up repayments made accordingly;
- Whenever necessary the casher will make payments at field level for different activities.

Position 2: Warehouse Officer
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the supply chain coordinator for proper warehouse management such as the physical condition of the warehouse, cleanliness of the warehouse, security and safety of the warehouses, availability of space for commodity receiving, availability of necessary warehouse equipment, availability of Daily labourers
- Responsible for receiving food based on the incoming waybill and, food dispatching to the mini-stores/ for distribution based on the approved dispatch waybills, practicing proper commodity handling at woreda warehouse (proper stacking, FIFO, using Plastic sheet, proper spacing, Daily inspection, physical inventory and so on)
- Update warehouse documents such as Ledger and Stack cards right after any commodity transaction and make sure that they are reconciled with the source documents like receipt and dispatch Waybill
- Keep and file all the necessary warehouse documents (incoming and outgoing waybills, SRF, loss approval, loss disposal, and so on) properly and adhere to the pre-determined reporting deadlines to submit all required reports showing woreda commodity transactions
- In consultation with the programme team and supply chain, the incumbent is responsible for proper handling of damaged commodity, loss handling and loss reporting within 72 hours.
- Support daily distribution activities at distribution points, document issues that are not in compliance with guidelines mentioned in SC or Donor policies, submit a report with a recommendation to NC.
- Submit weekly and monthly report timely to Zonal nutrition coordinator
- undertake daily supervision of guards and cleaners
- ensure that the warehouse site is safe and secure and to SCI standard.
- Ensure all necessary warehouse materials and equipment are available at the woreda warehouse level
- Conduct physical count at the month-end.
- Perform other activities assigned by immediate supervisor.
