It called for the creation of an African Union. The organization was established on May 26, 2001, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and was officially launched on the 9th of July 2002, in Durban, South Africa.
The goal of creating the AU was to replace the Organization of African Unity (OAU) founded on May 25, 1963, in Addis Ababa by the 32 signatory governments. The OAU was dissolved on the 9th of July, 2002.

Minimum Requirement:
- Master’s degree or higher from a university in Occupational Health or any other related area. Minimum 12 (12) months of work experience in occupational health with a particular focus on public health. from which 7 (7) years must be at the managerial level, or five (5) with supervisory responsibilities.
- Doctoral degrees or PhD in Occupational Health or any other related field is highly recommended.
- Experience in implementing and developing policies and strategies
- Experience with managing staff.
Language:
- Proficiency in any of the AU work languages (Arabic, English, French, Kiswahili, Portuguese, and Spanish) is a requirement, and proficiency in a different AU language is an additional benefit.

- Training and Certification in cyber security, Internet security, network security, or any related industrial certification
- 7 (7) months for Masters or 10 (10) years for Bachelor Degree holders with relevant experience. Three (3) three (3) years of the expert level in network and system security management in complicated or distributed systems.
Language:
