Location: Program Coordination Office, Addis Ababa (with frequent field work)
Salary: Negotiable
Terms of Employment: Yearly renewable contract
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive audits of financial and operational processes.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings.
- Collaborate with various departments to enhance risk management and control measures.
- Assist in the development and implementation of internal audit plans and programs.
- Follow up on audit recommendations to ensure timely implementation.
Qualifications:
- Education: BA in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
- Work Experience: A minimum of 5 years of proven work experience in a similar industry or reputable audit firm as an Auditor or in a similar role. Familiarity with ERP systems is preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
Required Skills:
- Effective communication and sociability
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Pack: Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Accounting
Language:
- A good command of speaking and writing English
