Position- Finance Officer – Disbursement

Required Qualification and Experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance subject area.

Experiential experience: 4 or two years of experience, respectively. Working as a finance or disbursement manager with expertise in reporting, transaction processing, or planning tasks.

Expertise and experience working using ERP systems, particularly Agresso

Expertise with Microsoft Office (including Excel) is essential.

The ability to speak English, Amharic, and other Ethiopian languages is highly sought-after.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Finance Officer-Disbursement (FOOD) is responsible for the completion of financial transactions and recording reports, as well as any other supporting or auxiliary actions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Disbursement: Make sure you have a speedy and prompt processing of disbursements

Complete all transactions involving disbursement that involve checking payments regular or recurring requests for payment and standing instructions.

Payment Voucher Registration (ERP), Bank Transfer & Check Preparation

Make sure that you receive timely and precise checking of your transfer of funds.

Make sure that the documents are complete. documents and ensure the accuracy of the code of the account for financial information about transactions that are processed.

Make/Register (ERP) payment vouchers (for payment by cash or cheque) according to the approved request for payment and/or authenticated invoices and receipts. provide the vouchers to be verified and accepted by accountable persons.

Create receipts for Government withheld taxes, VAT, and WHT. Provide them to the provider upon making the payment.

Send all financial documents/Vouchers in completeness, regularly to the Data Management Officers to ensure that the posting is correct.

Manage monthly government obligations including VAT, withholding taxes as well as income tax, pension, and so on, and pay the appropriate Governor’s Organ (ERCA) by the submission deadline.

Facilitate payment for the workshop and distribute payee to the participants following clearing the authentication of documents.

Guarantee timely and precise data management.

Assist in the management of ERP database and hardcopy records.

Help in the tracing and analysis of the transactions, documents as well and financial reports.
