Awash Bank Job Vacancy Announcement:
Position 1: Legal Officer
Qualification & Experience: LL.B. Degree in Law plus a minimum of three (3) years of work experience.
The job holder prepares a variety of legal documentation; Reviews legal documentation prepared for the Bank or arising from the work of the Bank; Provides legal advice to regional manager and staff in all areas of the Bank’s activities and proffering solutions to legal problems, constraints, risks, options, consequences and approaches.
Place of Work: Jimma Town
Position 2: Principal – IFRS Officer
Qualification & Experience: Masters in Accounting and Finance, Economics and Business Management plus a minimum of Seven (7) years relevant work experience.
Certification of ACCA/CPA & IFRS Diploma are an added advantage.
The jobholder is responsible for the preparation of IFRS-related financial statements and disclosures. Plan and execute IFRS tasks; adopt new IFRS standards and interpretations; lead the year-end financial statement preparation; support the finance and other directorates on IFRS-related data and workings; work in collaboration with other directorate.
Place of Work: Addis Ababa
Position 3: Branch Manager – Class IV Branch
Qualification & Experience: BA Degree in Business Administration, Management, Accounting, Banking & Finance and Economics plus minimum of 8 years of relevant banking experience of which 3 years in a supervisory position.
The job holder is responsible to plan, organize, lead, and control the banking activities of a branch office. S/he ensures that operating procedures, rules, regulations and code of practices of the bank are adhered to by subordinates. The jobholder leads the branch sales and customer service initiatives and guides branch operational excellence. S/he prepares and submits annual budget, operational plan and activity and progress reports
Place of Work: Baro Mado Branch – Gambella Town
Position 4: Manager – Interior Office Works Division
Qualification & Experience: BSc Degree in Architectural Engineering or Construction Projects Management and Computer related courses in Engineering (AutoCAD, SAP and/or Arch Cad) plus a minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience of Which 3 years in a supervisory position. Experience in Banking Operations (highly desirable).
The job holder is responsible for preparing architectural and interior design, technical specifications, prepare office layouts and interior works, partitions and furniture/counter works for branch offices in line with the brand manual of the bank, evaluates proposed technical documents, reviews design drawings and specifications and gives supports on heat and ventilation systems for buildings and controls quality of works.
