The job purpose is to support the protection of company assets and the security of security, safety, and well-being of all personnel, visitors, and the premises by assisting in the reduction and detection of crime through operating and maintaining surveillance equipment, watching both live and recorded video surveillance footage, reporting incidents or suspicious behaviors to immediate supervisor as necessary
Position: CCTV Operator
Education
- Diploma / Level 3/ 10+3 in IT or ICT or elated fields in combination with Certification in Physical Security Technology (HAS- Certified Security Associate) or (IBE- Intelligent Building System).
Experience:
- 2 years’ respective experience in CCTV operation.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain surveillance equipment, watching both live and recorded video surveillance footage, reporting incidents or suspicious behavior and contacting the authorities when necessary.
- Operate and monitor all surveillance security systems/cameras within the Control Centre in an efficient manner and in compliance with the operating procedures, legislation and best practice.
- Record all events, incidents and actions taken in a clear, legible and accurate written format.
- Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses.
- Establish and maintain a preventive maintenance and equipment inspection program to ensure optimal system operation and performance
- Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy and procedures, restraining trespassers.

- Ensure operation of security equipment and surveillance cameras by reporting any malfunctioning of equipment in a timely manner to the IT Administrator.
- Cross-checking and auditing the physical security in relation to security incidents, safety issues, and illegal behavior’s (drinking alcohol, late or early access to work areas using time and attendance system, and any security emergency circumstances).
- Contribute to security team effort by accomplishing related results as needed and responding to emergency situations to provide necessary assistance to employees and customers.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the line manager.
