- Education
- Applicants must hold a Master of Arts/Science Degree in any field of study, graduating in 2020 or later.
- Work Experience
- Candidates must have at least five (5) years of work experience following their bachelor’s degree.
- The experience must be obtained in one or more of the following sectors:
- Banking and Insurance industries, Hospitality industry, including 4/5-star Hotels and Airlines, FinTech, E-commerce, and technology companies and Telecom companies.
- Age

Position 2:Collateral Valuator
- Location: Bahir Dar District Office.
- Job Type: Full-time
- Reports to: Senior Manager-Operations management and Customer Experience
- Position Summary
The job holder is responsible for creating smooth relationship between the bank and the customer through genuine estimation of property as per the market value of the collateral and the bank’s valuation policy and procedure while maintaining the realization of the bank’s vision by win-win business approach.
- Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Estimate collateral and loan property for customers;
- Collect data that will be used for valuation purpose;
- Ensure that the collected information such as (photograph and video as appropriate) and other data of collateral properties are valid;
- Review and ensure ownership rights for the property to be valued;
- Review and ensure property valuation analysis including general information on location, specific information on the site etc., supply and demand consideration;
- Apply the agreed valuation approach;
- Undertake market research to update the property valuation manual of the Bank;
- Design branch layout design and preparation of bill of quantities and specification;
- Performs other civil engineering works including design preparation and specification;
- Ensure adherence to the defined culture by demonstration of appropriate behaviour required to meet district’s demands and performance expectations;
- Carries out supervision works for the design works and ensures the work is executed according to the design and specifications;
- Perform any other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
4. Required Qualification, Work Experience and Competencies
- Education
- BA/BSc Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- Required Work Experience
- 3(three) years of experience as Collateral Valuator or Asset Valuator in Financial and Construction Sector.
3. Required Competencies
- Familiarity with valuation principles, methods, and standards for various asset classes, including real estate, equipment, and vehicles.
- Ability to analyse market trends, local economic factors, and industry benchmarks to provide accurate asset valuations.
- Knowledge of risk assessment techniques related to asset depreciation, market volatility, and legal encumbrances.
- Awareness of local and international standards, including compliance with property valuation guidelines, taxation, and financial reporting regulations.
- Familiarity with software applications such as AutoCAD, GIS systems, and specialized valuation tools for effective analysis and reporting.
- Capacity to evaluate asset conditions, interpret financial implications, and identify discrepancies in valuation data.
- Ability to prepare detailed valuation reports, present findings clearly, and justify valuations to stakeholders.
- Precision in reviewing documents, assessing asset details, and ensuring valuations meet compliance standards.
- Adherence to ethical standards and discretion in managing sensitive valuation data.
- Skills to work with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, and operations, to ensure accurate and reliable collateral valuation
