DHL Global Forwarding Ethiopia has an opening for an IT/BPO Specialist where you will drive IRR benefits realization and operational resilience by converting traditional “analog” business processes & practices to fully applying the IT renewal roadmap solutions, transform the country by the adoption of our digital technologies across the entire business including digital customer interaction and experience across the entire customer portfolio as well as shape, drive and manage the IT function, delivery framework for systems/ applications, integration and infrastructure deployment in line with overall country business strategy and objectives, and Group guidelines and policies. Position: IT/BPO Specialist
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information management or general management
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years experience
In this IT/BPO Specialist position
- You will lead digitization priorities for all core operational systems and customer-facing applications in the country.
- You will be balancing an understanding of IT systems and related constraints whilst understanding our business priorities and ensuring the needs of “end users” are met in a pragmatic and cost[1]effective manner. Keeping in mind the IRR & SE priorities for the region.
- You will drive benefits realization in key areas in the country utilizing experts in reporting, billing, rates, tariffs, training, master data, and architecture. Obligatory Benefits realization accountabilities are
- Automating/Auto costing
- FRP as the single source of truth
- Paperless processes
- Data pre-population
Position 2: Import Operations Specialist
Now, here’s what we need from you:
- Bachelor’s degree in related fields preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, international business etc.
- Min 3 years hands-on experience in import and export operations via Road, ocean, Air and Rail operations, Transportation, Logistics &/or similar roles across relevant Supply Chain in freight management, pricing, commercials & operations.
- Project Cargo handling Experience.
In this Import Operations Specialist position
- You will establish and maintain relationships with existing customers.
- You will handle customer complaints and inquiries.
- You will update the clients promptly as agreed upon during the onboarding.
- You will provide high levels of customer service with a sense of urgency.
- You will support IP Team Leader with the implementation of new/change of systems updates/upgrades in CW1.
- You will arrange for the movement of shipment from Pick up at the customer to Delivery at the customer’s premises or the Djibouti Port for shipments.
- You will book with carrier/Update CW1 remarks with booking info.
- You will support the GSC with the documentation required to open files and ensure that the file is opened correctly.
- You will support by sharing the documents with the CDZ team to enable them to declare the files and process the shipment for customs clearance by preparing a customs entry.
- You will support and Complete import and export documents.
