Development aid further contributes to increased cooperation and dialogue in the main areas of mutual interest, as identified in the EU-Ethiopia strategic engagement. Furthermore, European solidarity is being effectively and visibly ensured through rapid help and relief assistance to Ethiopian populations affected by crises.
Position: Project Officer Migration management and forced displacement
Selection Criteria
Minimum Requirements:
- Medically fit to perform the required duties;
- Enjoys civil rights and permits for employment under local law;
- Master’s Degree in Migration studies or Forced Displacement studies or Political Sciences or in relevant fields. Alternatively, a Bachelor’s Degree in the above-mentioned fields or recognized post school qualification with relevant professional experience of 5 years in addition to the general professional experience; ;
- Minimum of 5 years working experience in a similar position;
- Minimum English language competency ability to understand: C2, read: C2, speak C2 and write C2;
- High level of computer literacy.
The following will be considered as an asset:
- Work experience with International and/or Diplomatic missions on migration/forced displacement related matters
- Working experience in Government institutions or administrations on migration/forced displacement related matters
- Previous experience on the implementation of EU – Ethiopia return and readmission agreement of 2018
- Experience in working in multicultural environment
Place of Employment: Delegation of the European Union to Ethiopia – Addis Ababa
Employment Contract: Indefinite/Permanent
Working hours/week: 37.5
Group I- with starting basic salary of 2555 EUR/month (payable equivalent in Ethiopian Birr).
