1. Job title: Protection and Gender Based Violence Specialist

Duty Station: Negele town, Southern Oromia

Job Requirements

• BA degree in Gender and social development, Sociology, Psychology, Social work, or other similar social science field of studies
• Minimum four years’ work experience in GBV, Child Protection and Protection related roles (Experience working in NGO is an advantage)

2. Job title: Market System Development (MSD) Coordinator

Location: Dollo Ado, Somali 

Reports Directly To:DREAMS project manager.

Works Directly With all program teams and consortium partners,

Job Requirements

• Excellent communicator in English with demonstrated excellent report writing and speaking skills, knowledge of local languages very advantageous.
• Demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving, and relationship management skills.
• 5 years experience in strategic planning and implementing programs.
• BA/BSc in Animal and rangeland science, Agr-Economics, Agro-business, environmental science, and relevant field, or equivalent experience
• Strong organizational and managerial skills
• Experience or working in the Somali region with strong contextual knowledge of local cultures and ways of working.
• Ability and experience (a plus) working in refugee and host communities in Dollo Ado,
• Knowledge of the Somali language
• Experience effectively initiating and maintaining productive relationships with private, public, civil society, and research sector partners.
• Excellent computer skills, including all Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook & Powerpoint)

3. Job title: TEAM LEADER (IFTIIN & WEE) Dollo – Ado

Location: Dollo Ado, Somali 

Reports Directly To:  Director of Programs, Mercy Corps Ethiopia

Works Directly With: Field program team members; WFP projects team members; Field-level Finance, Operations, and HR team

Job Requirements

• BSc or MA, MSc or equivalent in a field related to Agriculture, Livestock, NRM, economics, development studies, international development, business management or other related fields.
• 8 years for BSc and 6 years’ experience for MSc holders and among these 4 years in senior-level leadership and team management experience
• Experience of working in international development organizations
• Experience of leading and working on market systems development programs
• Practical field experience working in refugee contexts or fragile contexts is preferred.
• Knowledge on Ethiopian Compressive Refugee Response Framework /CRRF/
• Excellent team building, management and leading experience.
• Strong report writing and communication skills,
• Excellent coordination and representation experience is needed,
• Strong analytical skills
• Experience in managing divers’ program team
• Excellent MEL data analytics and quantitative skills are strongly preferred.
• Strong financial management experience required.
• Willingness and ability to frequent field travel to DREAMS woredas and refugee camps.
• Fluency in English and Somali is required.

4. Job title: RIPA Somali Region Program Coordinator

Location: Jijiga, Somali

Works Directly With:

• RIPA component teams in Addis and Somali Region
• RIPA CLA and MEL team (in Addis and Somali Region)

Job Requirements

• BA/BSc in relevant field, or equivalent experience
• Master’s degree in any one of technical or management course in the program focus areas highly preferred.
• At least 6 years in a middle or senior level management position
• Previous experience managing complex project or consortium an added advantage
• Excellent communicator in English with demonstrated excellent report writing and speaking skills, knowledge of local languages (Somali/Afan Oromo) greatly advantageous.
• Demonstrated critical thinking, problem solving and relationship management skill.
• Six years’ experience managing teams, strategic planning and implementing programs.
• Proven experience developing effective and diverse teams in dynamic contexts.
• Strong organizational and managerial skills.
• Experience or working in the Somali region with strong contextual knowledge of cultures.  Working along border regions a plus.
• Experience effectively initiating and maintaining productive relationships with private, public, civil-society and research sector partners.

5. Job title: Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Specialist

Duty Station:  Mercy Corps Abala Field Office

Supervisory Responsibility: No

Reports Directly To : Program Manager

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, statistics, monitoring and evaluation, international development, communications, or related field is required or demonstrated equivalent work experience in the field.
• Three to five years relevant field management experience, especially in the areas of monitoring and evaluation and learning and knowledge management.
• Strong management skills, with good understanding of relevant cross-cultural issues.
• Previous experience working on USAID funded programs strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience and ability to professionally and appropriately represent the organization and negotiate with a diverse range of government officials, local organizations, donors and other groups for outcomes in the best interest of program implementation.
• Effective verbal and written communication, multi-tasking, organizational, and prioritization skills are necessary.
• Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines and work independently and cooperatively with team members is required.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English, including report development, writing, and editing.

WORKS DIRECTLY WITH : Program and Support Staff

Job Requirements

• 3^rd Grade or above Valid Driving License.
• High school Graduate
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Driver, preferably in an International NGO.
• Experience in repairing Vehicles (Auto background) is an advantage.
• Ability to communicate in both Amharic & English languages and knowledge of other local language is preferred.
• Knowledge of routes, duty stations, project areas, the NGO and diplomatic community is required.
