Position 1: Risk & Compliance Management Director
Job Objective: The Risk and Compliance Management Director will lead the development and implementation of risk management and compliance strategies at Shabelle Bank SC. This role is responsible for ensuring that the bank operates within regulatory requirements and effectively manages risks to safeguard the organization’s assets and reputation.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Review and approve all risk and compliance assessment reports and submit them to the concerned organs.
- Lead the development of risk tolerance limits and credit risk rating guidelines.
- Promote forward-looking risk management practice by leading the development and implementation.
- Comprehensive risk identification and management framework.
- Monitor compliance with Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing requirements by all concerned bodies of the Bank.
Educational and Professional Requirements: Master’s Degree/BA Degree in Economics, Management, Accounting or other business-related fields.
Experience: Minimum 8/10 years of banking experience respectively of which 2 years Managerial role in the Risk & Compliance area

Job Objective:

- The Vice President for Banking Operations is responsible for overseeing the bank’s operational functions, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction. This role involves strategic planning, process optimization, and leadership of the operations team to support the bank’s objectives.
- Ensure sustainable growth and profitability of the Bank by developing and implementing strategic direction for efficient mobilization and utilization of funds, the position is also responsible for enhancing the Bank’s revenue and market share by working with the Bank’s Executive Management to develop and implement the Bank’s operations strategy.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation of the Bank’s strategy, and establish and communicate operational goals
- and performance targets to achieve operational excellence, customer service and market growth objectives of the Bank.

- The job holder is responsible for providing vision and leadership for planning and implementing an information technology strategy that meets the Bank’s business needs and delivers a good return on investment. The incumbent simultaneously manages the technology backbone of the Bank’s business and plans for future growth while constantly adjusting to warp-speed changes in technology. Responsible for overseeing management and smooth running of core applications, digital channel banking services, any enterprise solution, Data and Disaster recovery centres of the Bank, ICT infrastructure of technical operations, tracking the technology itself as well as the ICT teams to achieve goals, meet quotas, eliminate security risks, increase user satisfaction, and maintaining operations and systems.
Educational and Professional Requirements
- BSc./MSc. in Computer Science/Information Systems/Software Engineering/ Electrical Engineering with Computer Stream or related fields.
Experience:
- For BSc. 10 years of experience in information and communication technology and core banking software implementation project management out of which 6 years a managerial position; For MSc., 8 years of experience in information and communication technology and core banking software implementation project management out of which 5 years at a managerial position.
