Position 1:Human Resources Internship
Key Responsibilities:
Delivers Human Resources services, within guidelines and procedures. Provides support to the HR team, in order to provide consistent operational processes for the overall HR task.
- Working in support of the hiring manager and recruiters, set up and serve the interview process – confirming the interview date/time with candidates and selectors, ensuring interview questions and copies of CVs are available, assessment tests undertaken, and room bookings made.
- Screening resumes and application forms.
- Set up HR files for appointed candidates once the contract is signed.
- Updating employee personal files, putting files into their proper locations, gathering, and organizing files and documents, Photocopying, and scanning files and documents, and develop a storage and filing system.
- Updating our internal databases with new employee information like contact details and employment forms.
- Complete other related tasks as assigned by the line manager.
- Fully participate as an HR team member and with other organizational events and requirements.
- Any tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications
Qualification and Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in human resources management or related fields with a minimum one to two years of experience are preferred.
Position 2:Financial Inclusion Advisor
Job Description
- Leads the development of the youth financial inclusion strategy of the program with a focus on addressing rural young women, persons with disability, and returnees.
- Lead reviews/research to identify the root causes of low access to financial services for young women in the operational areas.
- Leads the development of approaches, systems, and products/services to ensure access to financial services for young women and men.
- Works closely with financial service providers (Banks, MFI, YSLAs, SACCOs ….) to create better functioning and sustainable institutional linkages between YSLAs and MFIs, SACCOs, and banks.
- Work with relevant financial institutions to develop market-oriented financial services for young women, startups, existing MSES, and other actors along the selected value chains.
- Develop the capacity of SNV and partners field level staff and partners on the YSLA approach and linkages mechanisms between program participants and financial institutions.
- Identify and establish partnerships with digital technology service providers to enhance youth financial inclusion
- Identify capacity gaps and develop capacity-building interventions for financial service providers to develop and implement youth-inclusive financial services.
- Defines and executes monitoring systems for data capturing and monitoring of youth groups and financial inclusion component
- Works with MFI and bank partners to systematize information flows and share reporting and portfolio effectiveness as it relates to the project.
- Supervise and coach field-level staff
- Document and share lessons with staff, donors and other stakeholders in collaboration with the MEAL advisor
- Represent the project/SNV in different forums to share results/lessons to influence policies and practices
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in finance and banking, economics and related fields with at least 10 years of direct experience in the finance sector
- Experience in financial inclusion of youth, women and other marginalized groups
- Knowledge of Ethiopia’s financial sector landscape and strong network among stakeholders in the finance sector
- Experience in microenterprise development, in informal and formal saving and lending methodologies; in public and private sector development.
- Experience in market system development approach is preferable
- Experience in gender programming
- Experience and knowledge in digital technologies

Position 3:Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) Advisor
Job Description
- Lead the Empowering Young Women component of the program
- Lead the design and implementation of the GESI strategy of the program
- Lead gender analysis in the context of the program to generate more in-depth insights on GESI
- Build program and partners’ staff capacity in GESI and provide coaching and mentoring
- Together with national-level advisors, identify intervention areas for each component of the project to ensure young women’s engagement and benefit
- In collaboration with the program safeguarding advisor, ensure that proper safeguarding frameworks and reporting mechanisms are developed and implemented
- Identify gender barriers for young women and men and work with the youth, community, local leaders, and informal and formal institutions to address the barriers
- Lead the team to identify and implement innovative approaches to ensure young women’s and men’s empowerment
- Position the program at higher levels to develop strategic partnerships, improve the program’s visibility and bring in ecosystem-level changes to ensure young women’s equality
- Support the MEAL team in developing GESI indicators and systems for proper monitoring and tracking progress.
- Ensure that gender indicators and measurement tools are incorporated in regular monitoring tools, baseline, midterm, and final evaluation.
- Develop/review GESI and young women empowerment learning questions/agenda and oversee the action research
- In collaboration with the MEAL coordinator, develop knowledge management strategies for the projects
- Oversee periodic (quarterly and annual) project reflection processes to ensure quality implementation of GESI strategy and for required adaptation
- Conduct regular monitoring of the implementation of the interventions at various levels and provide feedback
- Contribute to internal and external knowledge sharing by documenting project insights, attending workshops and conferences, and applying lessons learned. Use the knowledge to influence the ecosystem for better Young women’s and men’s engagement and benefit
- Contribute to the development of timely, accurate, consistent and informed reports for the donor and SNV
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Gender studies, social studies, social work, or any related fields with experience of 10 years in GESI, women’s economic empowerment, and social inclusion, preferably in market system development or value chain development, and youth employment projects.
- Experience in conducting gender analysis and the development of gender transformative intervention projects with strong private sector engagement
- Experience in designing and implementing training and capacity-building for program staff and partner organisations. A strong understanding of GESI aspects of rights and justice issues in Ethiopia is required.
- Experience managing complex activities involving coordination with multiple programme partner institutions
- Strong reputation and network with government and private sector, preferably in rural agriculture context, with extensive knowledge of the political economy of the country.
- Experience in policy, social norms and practices influencing and advocacy

Position 4:Agribusiness Advisor – Livestock
Job Description
- Lead design and analysis of the livestock sector to identify agribusiness opportunities for rural young women. Work closely with partner organizations to identify and analyse livestock agribusinesses and market system constraints and propose market-based solutions to address these constraints.
- Based on the analysis, design market-based intervention strategies for the respective clusters based on the context
- Ensure implementation of the livestock value chain/market system interventions, including market development, market linkages, market intelligence, and direct business development support for sustainable markets.
- Facilitate young women-led livestock-related business linkages among private sectors, cooperatives, unions and farmers groups that contribute to increasing production, income and employment;
- Map existing youth-led MSEs and develop a strategy to enable them to grow their business and employ more young women
- Provide technical support for implementing partners, private sector actors and other stakeholders through a systematic coaching and mentoring approach
- Facilitate the strengthening of livestock value chains by introducing and promoting new technologies, productivity improvement training, value addition and engagement of the private sector in the provision of embedded services;
