About the Organization:
VisionFund Micro Finance Institution (S.C) is established according to proclamation No. 40/96 to provide financial services to the productive poor in rural and urban areas of Ethiopia. VisionFund operates in five Regional States of the country.
Position: Branch Manager āDā
Location: Addis Ababa (Branches under Central East Regional Operation Office)
Opening Date: July 25, 2024
Major Responsibilities:
Manages Overall Portfolio Growth and Quality:
- Verify existence of clients and creditworthiness of their business.
- Chair the Branch Credit Committee (BCC), participate in loan evaluations, approvals, or rejections.
- Ensure saving deposit and withdrawals align with policies.
- Coordinate growth areas and disbursement projections.
Supervise Branch Staff and Ensure Efficient Service Delivery:
- Coordinate and supervise branch operations.
- Plan personnel capacity, select new staff, and evaluate existing staff.
- Supervise the economical use of material resources (Generator, Motorcycles & Vehicles).
- Maintain high staff morale, identify capacity-building needs, and provide training.
- Undertake annual performance appraisals and staff development plans.
Manage Branch Compliance with Policies and Procedures:
- Implement policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Make operational & financial decisions within regulations and management decisions.
Reporting and Communication:
- Perform independent balancing of all records.
- Collaborate with other management members of the MFI.
- Attend quarterly branch managers meetings and engage in team problem solving.
Planning & Integration:
- Develop branch business and annual work plans, seek approval from SMT.
- Adjust plans as needed.
Marketing:
- Promote loans, savings, and other services provided by the Branch.
- Plan and initiate promotional measures within target markets.
Skill and Educational Background:
- Education: University Degree/Diploma in economics, accounting, business administration, management, banking, marketing, cooperative, agricultural economics, agriculture, or related social sciences and business fields.
- Experience: 4 years for degree holders and 6 years for diploma holders.
- Skills:
- Determined personality with initiative, perseverance, and team management ability.
- High sense of rectitude and responsibility.
- Compliance with organization Ideals and Core Values.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Basic understanding of accounting.
- Good trainer, facilitator, mentor, and coach.
- Strong communication and marketing skills.
- Motorcycle driving skill and license.
