World Vision Ethiopia began its first intervention in Ethiopia in 1971 with relief and opened the Ethiopia office in 1975. Relief, rehabilitation, and small community development projects dominated the decade that followed. During the 1984/85 drought, World Vision Ethiopia participated in a massive relief operation that saved the lives of millions of people.

Position 2: Zonal Digital and Technology Officer
Job Purpose: The position holder will base at Bale and East Bale and responsible for providing coordination and technical support to Cash and food on Item Tracking System for JEOP program in Bale and East Bale. He/ She will ensure close works with respective district government and WVE department for the implementation of JEOP 2.0 Cash and Food, He/ She will engage the operationalize the projects such as leading over all the ITS on commodity and cash digitalization n using (LMMS),
Major Responsibility
- Engage on proper registration using digital mechanism of cash and commodity transfer beneficiaries as standard operating guidelines and prepare detail joint action plan for community level implementation of Cash and Commodity distribution plan in the project areas with close follow-up with cash and digital business unit
- Prepare the distribution plan per woreda/zone on LMMS and share the LMMS products (MBL, PBDL and LMMS distribution summary sheet) for smooth cash advance request on WVI’s System called “Provision”.
- Ensure appropriate utilization of Item Tracking System in all JEOP 2.0 operational areas
- Ensure proper implementation of JEOP 2.0 cash project in collaboration with the different stakeholders and other member agencies in the project areas
- Facilitate post distribution monitoring activities are fully documented, including systematic and timely data collection as required.
- Capacitate the community facilitators, staffs under his/her supervision, and others (if any) on cash and ITS.
- Prepare reports as per set schedules (monthly, quarterly and annually) on grant activities, indicators and achievements to WV
Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification
- University Degree Agri-Business Management, Economics, Marketing, Rural Development, Banking, project Management.
Required Professional Experience
- At least three 4 years’ experience in a proven cash and ITS based program
- Experience in implementation of Cash and LMMS in JEOP projects.
- Humanitarian field experience with substantial exposure to aid agencies’ commodity and aid assistance business processes under chronic and rapid emergency contexts.
Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications
- Excellent English communication skills (oral and written) with ability to express ideas and concepts clearly and persuasively with senior internal and external stakeholders
Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement
- This position requires regular travel between AP to the Kebeles and village-based travel

Job Purpose: The commodity Accountant officer is responsible for ensuring clear documentation and accounting in food resource management chain.
