Awash Bank, Ethiopia’s pioneering private bank, was established on November 10, 1994 after the downfall of the socialist regime. The Bank was established by 486 founding shareholders with a paid-up capital of Birr 24.2 million and started banking operations on Feb. 13, 1995.

Awash Bank Job Vacancy Announcement:

Position 1: Senior – IFB Product Development Officer

Qualification & Experience: BA Degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Management & Economics plus a minimum of Six (6) years’ in Banking operation , with at least Two (2) years in IFB Officer Services

Duty station:  Addis Ababa, V.No HO/00944/24

Position 2: Manager – Vendor Management Division

Qualification & Experience: BSc Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology and Information Systems plus a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in IT areas with at least three (3) years in supervisory position.

Duty station:  Addis Ababa, V.No HO/00943/24

Position 3: Manager – Fund Investment Division

Qualification & Experience: BA Degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Management, Project Management & Economics plus a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience with at least three (3) years in supervisory position.

  • Master’s Degree in Finance related field (added advantage).

Duty station:  Addis Ababa, V.No HO/00942/24

Position 4: Manager – Capital Market Project Division

Qualification & Experience:  BA Degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Management, Project Management & Economics plus a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience with at least three (3) years in supervisory position.

  • A Master’s degree (added advantage).

Position 5: Director – Digital Business Development Directorate

Qualification & Experience: MSc Degree in Computer Science, information System, Information Technology or MA in management, Accounting, Economics, Banking and Finance or related plus a minimum of twelve (12) years of relevant experience in banking industry of which three (3) years in managerial position with proven track records in digital banking.

Position 6: Director – Digital Operations Directorate

Qualification & Experience:  MSc Degree in Computer Science, information System, Information Technology or related fields plus a minimum of twelve (12) years of relevant experience in banking industry of which five (5) years in managerial positions with proven track records in Digital Channel, IT Security Development and Project Management
