Position: Airfreight Specialist

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/qualification
  • Minimum 3-5 year’s experience

In this Airfreight Specialist position

  • You will execute AFR Ops plans and processes to provide air freight forwarding for internal and external customers.
  • You will assess and interpret to provide requirements of freight control center, and to support and provide operations team with the required details, information, and instructions for operational performance.
  • You will work on providing allocation and reservations of freight on planned carriers and flights required for operations performance.
  • You will participate to develop and execute plans for air freight products in a variety of different areas.
  • You will develop opportunities to expand business with new clients and continuously improve in-house customer services.
  • You will maintain close business relationships with existing clients, attend some customer visits and achieve a desired level of customer retention.
  • You will manage day-to-day shipment documentation relating to current shipments.
  • You will identify opportunities to enhance air freight productivity, and efficient resource allocation and utilization.
  • You will analyse and provide input for processes and systems to enhance service quality.
  • You will study and resolve issues in day-to-day delivery and implement practices for AFR Ops focusing on increasing effectiveness and efficiency.
  • You will create and manage bookings through CW1 on both import and export.
  • You will prepare, control, and distribute all required Import/Export documents.
  • You will identify performance issues of suppliers and propose solutions to improve said performance.
  • You will update shipment milestone / timestamp information and physical status, resolve customer issues and incidents.
