Habesha Cement Vacancy 2024

Habesha share company is registered as a cement producer in Ethiopia. The company has a cement plant in operational since its inauguration in mid-January 2017. Currently, the plant has a capacity of producing 3,000 tons of clinker which translates to 1.2 million tons of cement per year at full operation.

Position 1: Foreign Sourcing Coordinator

Qualification and Experience:

·   Bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Supply Management, Business management, Business Administration, Engineering or other related field.

·   A minimum of Five years’ experience in procurement position, preferably in manufacturing industry with a sound knowledge of foreign procurement.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

· Ensure that all supplies and services requisitions are facilitated in a professional manner and following the procurement and financial guidelines of HCSC.

· Make sure that all procurement of goods and services are carried out with the objective of obtaining the best value for money and the best possible service to the requester’s.

· Initiate and process Request for quotations (RFQ), Request for proposals (RFP), and tenders as per TORs &/or bid documents.

· Ensure that goods and supplies are procured and delivered to the warehouses in line with the quantity, quality and specification stated in the Purchase Requisitions/Purchase Order or Contracts.

· To establish and maintain good contacts with suppliers, service providers, government offices, and other stakeholders regarding procurement matters.

· Ensure all department requests for each month is consolidated and delivered as per the required delivery timeline providing regular updates, coordination, and communication.

· Carry out market surveys and maintain an up-to-date database of suppliers.

· Ensure timely sharing of solicitation documents with the suppliers and do efficient follow up for timely quotation submission.

· Act as the first point of contact for enquiries about foreign procurement issues for work units.

· Preparing weekly procurement tracker and share with all relevant Supervisors.

· Lead &/or support suppliers/service providers engagements and communications.

· Continuously liaise with shipping and customs clearing agents for timely transport and delivery of imported goods.

· Follow up with DHL for original shipment documentation in preparation for tax exemption requests

· Prepares and maintains accurate records and documentation on all solicitations, responses, purchases, contracts, correspondence and related follow up.

· Expedites outstanding purchase orders to ensure delivery requirements are met.

· Promotes and develops contact and liaison with the external supplier

· Assists transporting and Receiving with shipment related discrepancies and variances.

· Performs other related duties such as special assignments and annual major objectives as required

· Other duties as assigned.

Position 2: Manager, Sales and Marketing

Qualification and Experience:

· Master’s degree in Marketing, Management, Business Administration, or related fields with eight (8) years of demonstrated experience out of which four (4) years in a managerial position                


· Bachelor’s degree in Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or related fields with ten (10) years of demonstrated experience of which five (5) years in a managerial position.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

· Approve and monitor the development and implementation of Company wide marketing, customer experience, sales and distribution strategy.

· Lead the processes of understanding customer expectations, attitudes, behaviors, intentions, and needs and perform customer segmentation. 

· Oversee effective branding, customer communication, and customer experience insights research.

· Approve the development and review of pricing policy for newly customized and existing products.

· Oversee the consistent and accurate application of pricing guidelines and policies and the management of the pricing appeals.

· Lead the development of relationship strategy including sales, retention, pricing strategies.

· Oversee the development of sales leads and strategy for entering new geographic areas.

· Lead the design of an overall distribution strategy for the Company.

· Liaison with different stakeholders to ensure networks are built, sales campaigns are prospected and run and new opportunities are developed accordingly.

· Lead the development of collaborative working relationships within the organization in pursuit of the company’s overall business goals.

· Lead the design and implementation of an integrated logistics and fleet strategy in alignment with the Company’s strategic direction.

· Drive strategic initiatives for investment on fleet to enhance the Company’s logistics operational capabilities.

· Approve updated logistics practices in accordance with new or changing policies, standards, regulations.

· Oversee the proper management of alliances and partners within integrated logistics channel.

· Manage function dedicated capabilities on marketing, sales, logistics and customer relationship for enterprise wide practice standardization and knowledge sharing.

· Monitor strategic performance of the function.
