Industrial Park Investors Association Vacancy

The Hawassa Industrial Park Investors Association (“HIPIA”) is a non-profit-making organization that represents the investors working in the Hawassa Industrial Park in the city of Hawassa in Ethiopia.

It was incorporated in 2016 and has twenty two members from India, Sri Lanka, China, Hong Kong, United States of America, Ethiopia, France, Belgium, Taiwan, and Indonesia.

Among our members, we have three local and eighteen foreign suppliers to the European and American Textile and Apparel market.

Industrial Park Investors Association Vacancy:

Position 1: Production supervisor

Qualification and Education Background: 

  • Bachelor Degree in Garment Engineering, Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering
  • Good English communication and computer skill.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Controlling quality and quantity of the production line
  • Oversee and manage day-to-day operations on the production floor.
  • Ensure adherence to production schedules and deadlines.

Location: Hawassa

Position 2: Quality supervisor

Qualification and Education Background: 

  • Bachelor Degree in Garment Engineering, Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering
  • Good English communication and computer skill.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the quality control procedures on the production line.
  • Implement and enforce quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess product quality and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.

Location: Hawassa

Position 3: Merchandiser 

Qualification and Education Background:

  • Degree in Accounting and Finance or related business field
  • Proficient in English communication and computer skills
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience

Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Merchandiser at HIPIA, you will:

  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in replenishment strategies
  • Analyze market trends and customer preferences to optimize product selection
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop effective marketing strategies
  • Maintain accurate records of sales and inventory data
