Work purpose
The Coordinator, program will manage WASH initiatives and ensure timely and effective programming, reporting, communications and logistics. Responsibilities include coordination with PSI teams and consortium partners, preparing reports for donors and the Ethiopian government, and supporting key events and procurement processes.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Program coordination:
- Coordinate regular program reporting (bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual) and collect input from PSI teams and partners.
- Prepare reports for donors and the Government of Ethiopia.
- Communication:
- Support the creation of newsletters, briefings and presentations for internal and external audiences.
- Work with communications teams to develop stories, blogs, and other materials for program sharing.
- Logistics & event planning:
- Organize workshops, training and meetings, including travel, accommodation and venue bookings.
- Document results and track action items.
- Procurement & Compliance:
- Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely acquisitions.
- Maintain proper program inventory and documentation to comply with PSI and donor requirements.
- Documentation and distribution:
- Maintain organized records of contracts, proposals and agreements.
- Share your insights with partners and stakeholders.
- Additional tasks:
- Perform duties as assigned by the CoP/DCoP and other program staff.
Qualifications and skills
Education:
- MA/BA in project management, public health/environmental health, sociology, social sciences, business administration, international development, or related fields.
Experience:
- 4 years (MA) or 6 years (BA) relevant experience.
- Certifications in project management or WASH-related areas desirable.
Core competencies:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management tools.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent report writing, presentation and communication skills.
- Knowledge of M&E concepts and tools.
- Basic knowledge of budgeting and financial management.
- Fluent English skills (spoken and written).
