Qualification & Experience:

• BA/BSc degrees in Psychology, Social Work, and Public Health. Nursing Women’s Studies, 2 years of relevant working prior experience
• Certificate of social work Psychology PH, and Women Studies having 4 years of professional working experience.
• Five years of experience/First Degree with two years experience in the field of Social Work Sociology, Public Health, Women’s Studies, or another Social sciences-related subject.

Language:

• The ability to communicate effectively in English as well as Somali is necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

• Accredited university degree with a focus on international development or a related field. Equivalent experiences can be substituted for a graduate-level diploma.
• A minimum of 10 years’ previous experience with similar emergency response operations, and the ability to manage difficult international development initiatives funded by donor funds in difficult environments
• At least 8 years experience of experience in project management.
• Expertise working in delicate environments managing emergency response and programs
• Expertise in the administrative and financial management of large projects, and extensive understanding of BHA conformity, rules, and laws
• Expertise in the development and maintenance of effective and strong partnerships.
• Excellent negotiation skills as well as the ability to build relationships with your local partners, donors, and other parties.
• Substantial experience managing diverse sub-grantees/sub-contractors, including INGO, NGO, local FBO, and private sector actors.
• Exhibited innovation and achieved success at building the capacity of staff and participative, flexible, and gender-sensitive programming as well as its execution.
• Excellent communication skills Written and oral communication skills.
• Fluency in English is necessary.
