Awash Bank, Ethiopia’s pioneering private bank, was established on November 10, 1994 after the downfall of the socialist regime. The Bank was established by 486 founding shareholders with a paid-up capital of Birr 24.2 million and started banking operations on Feb. 13, 1995.

Awash Bank Job Vacancy Announcement:

Position 1: Branding And Promotion Officer

Qualification & Experience: BA Degree in Marketing Management, Business Management or Economics plus a minimum of three (3) years relevant experience.

The job holder is responsible for promoting the bank in all channels using the relevant promotional mixes to the target group & carry out promotion and branding tasks to improve public awareness and understanding of the Bank; assists in the development of new bank products and/or improves existing ones by introducing and maintaining the bank’s brand; ensures the bank brand visibility and trust is secured.

Position 2: Auto – Mechanic

Qualification & Experience: Diploma in Auto Mechanic or related fields plus a minimum of three (3) years experience in auto mechanics with one (1) year as garage technician.

  • Driving Licence is Mandatory.

The jobholder is responsible for service, maintenance and repair of vehicles, and participates in evaluating technical documents

Position 3: Senior – Civil Engineer

Qualification & Experience: BSC Degree in Civil Engineering/Construction Technology & Management, Computer Courses in Engineering Plus a minimum of five (5) years in Construction Work Experience with at least two (2) years as Resident Engineer.


  • Auto CAD Certificate is Mandatory
  • SAP and Arch CAD is an Added Advantage.

The jobholder is responsible to manage, supervise, plan, schedule, direct and coordinate the activities of the division. S/he develops and implements procedures and manuals related to construction project management. The jobholder also handles and resolves claims and disputes with regard to construction works.
